The Issyk or Esik is a picturesque lake located at the height of 1760 metres in the Issyk gorge of Trans-Ili Alatau, around 70 km east of Almaty among beautiful and thick forests along with vast flower meadows. You will also have chance to visit Bear Waterfall, a picturesque waterfall located in the mountains of Kazakhstan, not far from Almaty. The most easily accessible waterfall in the Almaty region is situated in a scenic mountain valley and is a popular spot for picnics and excursions among locals and tourists.
